Installation

The Xilinx tools used on the Windows desktops are in version 12.4. They are compatible with Windows 7 and XP, either 32 or 64 bits.

You can find the installation files in:

\\eslsrv5.epfl.ch\storage\xilinx12.4

You must mount this folder as a network drive under Windows or open it using your file browser (the internet browser will not open the link), and log in with your GASPAR credentials. Please do not forget to specify your domain name (INTRANET, etc.) in your username. In order to successfully complete the mounting, you must be connected within EPFL or through the VPN.

Once the remote folder is mounted, copy the files locally, then you can start the install wizard. When asked what kind of installation you want to perform, you can select “Embedded Edition“. Don’t forget to install the program as an admin.

License

We use a floating license providing 50 seats for the EPFL.

The license to use is:

XILINXD_LICENSE_FILE = 2100@ielsrv01.epfl.ch

in the Xilinx application.
